Renaissance Academy Senior Accepted to Wharton School of Business
Senior, Dariush R. Keyhani has been accepted to the prestigious University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.

Phoenixville, PA -- Today, Renaissance Academy (RA) CEO, Gina Guarino Buli was proud to announce the early decision acceptance of Class of 2017 senior, Dariush R. Keyhani, to the prestigious University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. This acceptance to Wharton is the first in the history of Renaissance, a young Charter School founded in 1999.
The world’s first business school and the most prestigious business school in the country, Wharton has just a 9% acceptance rate, making acceptance to the school quite an impressive achievement. According to their website, in addition to high grades and SAT scores, Wharton looks for students with an interest in business to fuel positive change to advance the world's economic and social well-being; demonstrated leadership; and a strong preparation in mathematics, particularly calculus. “Throughout his high school career, Dariush has demonstrated that he has the drive and dedication to succeed in a program such as that offered at Wharton”, said RA Counselor, Faye Conquest. “We are very proud of him and look forward to following his achievements.”
Dariush Keyhani, who resides in Valley Forge, PA, is the son of Rahmat and Tanya Keyhani. In addition to his exemplary academic successes, Dariush is a member of the Academic Decathlon team, the RA Academy Council (student government), Reading Olympics, the National Honor Society, and serves as president of the Key Club. In his spare time, he enjoys horseback riding and volunteering at Thorncroft Equestrian Center, an equine therapy center located in Malvern, PA.

Dariush has always wanted to go to the University of Pennsylvania, in fact he recalls wanting to attend Wharton as early as age eight. Although this stand-out student has also been accepted to Delaware Valley College with a $100,000 scholarship, he plans to attend Wharton in the fall, where he will study finance management and possibly study abroad. “I believe that taking Advanced Placement (AP) courses and learning responsible time management here at Renaissance Academy has prepared me to take on the challenges that I will encounter at Wharton.” Dariush’s dream is to one day make an impact in the market by becoming a CEO of a major company.
Mrs. Guarino Buli said, “It is clearly a testament to Dariush's hard work as well as the outstanding support of his teachers and family during his academic journey. Renaissance is proud to have been part of his educational path."
