Renaissance Academy Senior Scholarships Surpass $1.5M

The graduating class of 2015 has already received scholarship offers of over $1,500,000.00.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA – Faye Tiger Conquest, High School Counselor for the Renaissance Academy Charter School, was pleased to announce today that the seniors of the Renaissance Academy Class of 2015 have already passed the one million dollar mark in awarded college scholarship money. These 75 seniors, who have been accepted to universities such as Temple, Susquehanna University, and the University of Montana, have so far collectively earned a total of $ 1,513,400 in academic scholarships.

Some of the stand out scholarships to date include Tommy Ngo who has received scholarship offers of $300,000 from Arcadia University, Cabrini College and Widener University; Victoria Batten with $146,000 offered from Albright College and Widener University; Lianna Jante who has been offered $109,400 from The University of Alabama; Connor McLaughlin with a scholarship of $100,000 from Susquehanna University; and Brandon (Mike) Heimbach received a scholarship offer of $190,000 from Arcadia and Widener Universities.

In addition, Widener University in Chester, PA has made scholarship offers of $94,000 to Jess Kaplan, Liam McGunnigle and Tierney Rojas, as well as an $88,000 offer to Terrell Clark and a $72,000 scholarship to Alexander Kesselman.

Mrs. Conquest said that she is always excited to hear of the students’ college acceptances and anticipates great things from this class. “The class of 2015 is the largest graduating class in Renaissance Academy’s history and we fully expect that this class will surpass our largest scholarship total of over $4,000,000.”

Established in 1999, Renaissance Academy is a K-12, award-winning, tuition-free, college prep charter school located in Phoenixville, PA. The school currently educates over 1000 students from 20 surrounding school districts. Renaissance Academy was named as one of Newsweek’s 2013 Best High Schools in America.
