Schuylkill River Town Program Hosts Two May Events In Phoenixville Area

Two community events in Phoenixville and Mont Clare will highlight the area's biodiversity and history.

The Schuylkill River Towns Program (SRTP), an initiative of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, is hosting two community events in the Phoenixville area this month. This Saturday - May 7th - SRTP will be hosting a tour of the Lock 60 area of the Schuylkill Canal in Mont Clare. Lead by a guide from the Schuylkill Canal Association, this tour will cover the history and natural features of the area. The tour is $5/person and space is limited - you can click here to register.

On May 22nd, you can join SRTP at Marly's on Bridge Street in Phoenixville for a presentation on freshwater fishing techniques as well as the aquatic ecology of the Schuylkill River. This event is open to all skill sets, from those interested in fishing to expert anglers. The event is free, but space is limited - click here to register.
