Searching for Community Champions ... Everyday People Who Care!

STOP A MINUTE AND LOOK AROUND YOU ...

Every community or neighborhood has someone who gives of their time to help others. Maybe it is a relative, a co-worker, a neighbor or a friend.

Fifteen years ago the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation began the  Champions of the Community Award to honor these unsung heroes of the greater Phoenixville region, whether that be in Phoenixville, Royersford, Spring City, Limerick, Mont Clare, Collegeville -- or anywhere in between. Since that time sixty three people have been honored as community champions.

WHY NOT ACKNOWLEDGE AND HONOR YOUR COMMUNITY’S UNSUNG HEROES?   The Foundation needs the community to help find these quiet heroes. Perhaps you know of someone who deserves to be recognized -- someone who made a personal sacrifice to improve the lives of others, someone who served as a mentor to youth and positive role model for others, someone who provides spiritual or moral leaderships in the community, or simply someone  who has been kind and helpful to others throughout their life. People of any age -- young and old alike -- who volunteer or otherwise give of time and talents, in service to the communities of the greater Phoenixville region.
