Slight Tax Hike Under Phoenixville School Budget

It's the lowest tax increase in recent years, the district said.

The Phoenixville Area School Board has approved advertising a final budget for the 2014-15 school year.

The board voted, 6-2, at its May 22 meeting to approve an $82,080,834 final budget, The Reporter reported

The budget would mean a shortfall of about $500,000, which would lead to a 0.87 percent tax increase, The Reporter said. Though an increase, that's the lowest in recent years, the district said.
