Summer Theatre Workshops for Kids!
Theatre workshops for kids are being held at Arcola Intermediate School. Programs available for ages entering K thru age 14
Firebird Theatre is now offering several summer workshop camps for kids ages 7 – 14 and special “Intro to Theatre” camps for children entering K though second grade In the Methacton area.
For performers ages 7-12 (no experience necessary!) the theatre is producing a workshop production of Disney’s Aristocats Kids. This experience will include instruction in all aspects of staging a Broadway KIDS musical: singing, dancing, and acting. This workshop takes place from June 22 through July 1 from 9;00 am to 3:00 pm at the Arcola Intermediate School. There is a free performance for family and friends on Wednesday July 1 at 7:00 pm. Students who attend Firebird’s camp for ages 10-14, held July 6-16 at Arcola Intermediate School, will perform a production of Disney’s Aladdin Kids. This two-week workshop will also include singing, dancing, and acting instruction and no prior experience is necessary to join in the fun. A free performance of the show will take place on Thursday, July 16th at 7:00 pm.

For younger children, Firebird is offering three “Intro to Theatre” sessions that run Monday through Thursday, starting July 20, 27, and August 3. These workshops are held from 9:00 – noon and performers will learn the ins and outs of the stage while singing, dancing and playing theatre games. Each week is different so kids can do one, two, or all three weeks of fun.

Firebird Theatre provides theatre instruction for children and teens in the Phoenixville and Methacton areas. It has produced summer theatre workshops at the Colonial Theatre and Phoenixville Middle School for years and has expanded to the Methacton area in 2015.
