Superintendent's New Salary: $230K Per Year

Dr. Alan Fegley could earn performance incentive bonuses of up to 8% annually under the terms of his new contract.

The Phoenixville Area School District has negotiated a new contract with current superintendent Dr. Alan D. Fegley, whose existing contract is set to expire next summer.

The new contract, which runs from July 1, 2015, to June 30, 2020, calls for a base salary of $230,000.

That’s up about $15,000 a year from what Fegley earns now, The Pottstown Mercury said.

Under the terms of the new contract posted on the district’s website, Fegley will receive raises capped at 3.5% annually. He also is eligible for performance incentive bonuses of up to 8% annually, the contract states.

A member of the school board told The Mercury that the board wanted Fegley’s salary to be in line with superintendent salaries in nearby Chester County school districts.
