Taser Used To Disarm Phoenixville Man After Knife Threats: Police

Police were forced to resort to using a taser to disarm a Phoenixville man after he pulled out a knife and began making threats.

On December 3 at about 4 p.m., the suspect, a 51 year old man from Phoenixville, was confronted by police on the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

The man was making terroristic threats, police said.

The precise nature of those threats is unknown.

When the suspect pulled a knife on an officer, police used a taser to disarm him and arrest him.

The suspect was booked at Chester County Prison.
