THE.. NATIONAL INSTITUTE on DRUG ABUSE ..,  GAVE A GRANT TO John Huffman AT  Clemson University TO research WAYS OF PRODUCING SYNTHEIC MARAJUANA  the out come was the JWH-018 /SPICE / Bath SALTS a class of compounds known as cannabinoids.

Cannabinoids bind to receptors in the brain, in the same way that the THC in real marijuana does.

Unlike real cannibis the lab verity produced  heats up the body the user
strips off his clothes and attacks people ripping flesh and eating it

R.P. was sleeping near a Miami highway when R.E. attacked him, ripping off
his clothes and striking him repeatedly. R.E. then began tearing and ripping at his face with his mouth. It was 18 minutes before the police arrived to
stop him, but even then, they were not to stop him. After warning the drugged-
crazed man to desist several times, R.E. simply growled at them and continued
to eat the victim’s face.

 The police were left with no option but to open  fire and kill him. He was under the influence of the hallucinogenic drug “bath salts.”THIS ISN'T THE ONLY CASE 
There was another reported in Maryland and who knows how many that weren't reported.
