Two-Alarm Fire Burns Through Upper Providence Home: Officials

A two-alarm fire spread from the garage to the attached home in Upper Providence home late Monday afternoon, fire officials said.

A two-alarm fire burned through a home in Upper Providence Township on Monday afternoon.

The Royersford Fire Department said that the blaze began at about 3:54 p.m. on the first block of Marchwood Drive.

The fire started in the garage before quickly spreading throughout the home, authorities said.

All residents of the home evacuated and were not injured.

The fire was placed under control in about an hour. Units were cleared from the scene by about 6 p.m.

It's not yet clear what caused the fire, and it remains under investigation.
