University of Valley Forge Offers Spring Musical and Free Spring Concert
Celebrate spring this April with the University of Valley Forge's Spring Musical, "I Am Not a Robot," and Spring Concert.
PHOENIXVILLE, Pennsylvania, March 23, 2016 — The University of Valley Forge (UVF) student theater group, Curtain Call, will perform a student-written musical production. "I Am Not a Robot" tells the story of Abby, an intelligent yet self-unaware teenage robot. Abby attempts to live a normal life with an unshakeable belief that she is indeed a real girl, while classmates try to prove her otherwise. The musical was written by three UVF students and is also student directed. Ticket cost is $10 for adults; $5 for children 12 and under, students and senior citizens, and will be available at the Krempels Theater doors. Showtimes are: April 9 at 7 p.m., April 10 at 2:30 p.m., April 15 at 7 p.m., April 17 at 2:30 p.m.
In addition, the Department of Music at the University of Valley Forge invites the community to the annual Spring Concert on Saturday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Flower Chapel on campus. The concert will be led by Department of Music Chair William DeSanto, Ph.D., and will feature performances by the Wind Ensemble and the University Choir. The first half of the program will include selections by the Wind Ensemble followed by the University Choir which will sing excerpts from Schubert's "Mass in G" and a variety of sacred music.
