Upcoming Event: 'Smoke, Fire, And Bravery - A History of Phoenixville's Fire Companies'

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- The Historical Society of the Phoenixville Area will present a special guest this Friday.

David B. Meadows, the President of the Phoenixville Hose, Hook and Ladder Company No. 1., will speak on Friday, November 4.

Meadows will present on the history of the fire company beginning at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 pm at the Historical Society of the Phoenixville Area located at 204 Church Street.

Meadows' presentation compliments the ongoing museum exhibit titled, "Smoke, Fire & Bravery - A History of Phoenixville's Fire Companies". There are many articles, items and artifacts on display, the Historical Society said.

The event is free and open to the public.
