Volunteers Care For Medal Of Honor Grove At Freedoms Foundation
Volunteers from PECO joined the Friends of the Medal of Honor Grove to beautify the nation's oldest memorial to Medal of Honor recipients.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- The Friends of the Medal of Honor Grove and members of the public participated in a volunteer event at the Freedoms Foundation on Wednesday, as they helped care for the the grove and the surrounding area.
Employees of PECO joined the Friends in assisting with various maintenance tasks, including painting benches, spreading wood chips, and picking up branches.
The Medal of Honor Grove, owned by the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, is maintained by the Friends, which is a separate non-profit organization.

The Grove is a "living memorial" to the 3,5000 individuals who have received the Medal of Honor, the highest military decoration awarded by the United States government. The Medal of Honor Grove is the oldest memorial to Medal of Honor recipients in the nation.
The volunteer work was completed as part of National Volunteer Week.
