WATCH: 11-Year-Old Phoenixville Girl Performs National Anthem At NHL Game

Watch Phoenixville 5th grader Isabelle Gottfried light up Madison Square Garden with her performance on Sunday.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- "And here to perform the Star-Spangled Banner, please welcome an 11-year-old rising theatre musical star from Broadway Dreams, Isabelle Gottfried..."

That's how the Phoenixville native and Schuylkill Elementary student was welcomed onto the ice at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. The local singing star performed the national anthem before the New York Rangers and Washington Capitals game at 1 p.m.

Isabelle has been on the big stage before: she performed the national anthem at the National Law Enforcement and Firefighters Children’s Foundation's parade in New York City on Thanksgiving Day. She's also performed the anthem at Citizens Bank Park.

Most recently, she was featured in the pre-Broadway readings of Bobby Cronin & Crystal Skillman’s Mary & Max, based on the claymation film by Adam Elliot.

Broadway Dreams, the organization which Isabelle works with, has a mission of "providing youth and young adults across the United States and around the world with performance training, life skills building, and mentorship opportunities in the entertainment industry."
