WATCH: Chesco Woman Wins Jeopardy! With Courageous Wager
Lisa Schlitt took on previous champ Christy Karras and won more than $30,000 on last week's show.

A Chester County resident showed her intellectual prowess on one of the nation's most famous and prestigious game show, as microbiologist Lisa Schlitt competed on Jeopardy! Friday night
Schlitt came out on top in the game show, winning $27,600 in final jeopardy.
Schlitt competed against Paul Cox, a portfolio manager from Austin, Texas, and former champion Christy Karras, a writer and editor from Seattle, Washington.

Karras won $30,600 on Thursday's show in her first appearance on the trivia competition.

She doubled her total when she bet everything in a Final Jeopardy question about "bloemfontain." The clip is featured above.
Schlitt will return to the show on Monday at 7 p.m. on ABC.
