WATCH: Time Lapse Video Of Phoenixville Firebird Construction

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- It's that time of year: preparations are already well underway for the 2016 Phoenixville Firebird Festival.

A time lapse video of construction so far was released by the Festival on their Facebook page on Sunday. The video, shown below, shows the progression of the Firebird from a bare outline of the center body to a full outline including wings.

Organizers will be at Friendship Field every weekend after 10 a.m. building the structure. Volunteers are encouraged to come and help with construction.

The Festival will take place on December 3.

The borough's iconic event celebrates the Phoenix of mythology, which is reborn from it's own ashes.
