Traffic has been a sore subject for Phoenixville residents in recent weeks, and it has many asking: what’s next?
“Waiting for a UFO to land somewhere on 202 by King of Prussia. That would make commuter life complete for June 2015,” Maureen Rowan commented on Facebook.
No flying saucers have been reported, but that didn’t stop the fates from concocting a new impediment for area commuters.

Two horses that appeared to be Clydesdales were trotting loose on White Horse Road on Wednesday, interrupting a driving lesson in Malvern.
Local man Chris O’Brien was trying to teach his 16-year-old son, Kevin, to drive when he spotted the horses at about 6:30 p.m.

“The two were trotting down the middle of the road towards the curve next to the golf course,” O’Brien said. “It was fun with my 16 year old, driving on his permit, still accelerating towards them up the hill with me saying, ‘Hey, you might want to stop for the horses running at you.’”
The horses were eventually corralled by their owners and Schuylkill Township Police Department, according to the Phoenixville Office of Emergency Management.
Horses are just the latest wrench thrown in commuters plans.
The closure of the Route 23 Bridge over Pickering Creek has been described by residents as “unbearable.”
On Tuesday, U.S. Route 422 buckled in the heat between Trooper Road and Route 29, leaving cars on the highway and Black Rock Road at a standstill for hours.
It’s almost out of this world.
