PRA's swim coach, Georgiann, will be offering to those who wish to participate, the new American Red Cross Blended Lifeguarding Class. Once completed, you'll be certified for employment as a lifeguard.
Age requirements: 15yrs (14 IF turning 15 before March 22nd)
Cost: $200 payable to Georgiann Barry is due at pre-testing, plus an additional fee of $35 you will pay to Red Cross when you register on-line.
Dates: Pre-testing will be conducted on February 4th at 7p at PRHS Pool.
Additional dates: 2/18 7-9p, 2/25 6-9p, 3/4 7-9p, 3/11 7-9p, 3/18 7-9p
Testing Date will be March 22nd (time to be determined).
MANDATORY ATTENDANCE REQUIRED TO EVERY CLASS! NO EXCEPTIONS/ NO REFUNDS!
Equipment: For pre-testing you will need bathing suit, cap (optional), towels, goggles, computer memory stick.
For all other classes you will need swim gear (recommend more than 1 towel), lifeguarding book, whistle (you must purchase), mask & first aid kit (supplied for you), pencils, highlighters, completed home assignments. Cell phones must be turned off or on vibrate during classes; absolutely NO texting. You may bring snacks and beverages. Dress comfortably.
