1 Killed In Pittsburgh-Area House Fire

A woman died Tuesday when a blaze broke out in a Pittsburgh-area home.

LEECHBURG, PA — A woman died Tuesday morning when a fire engulfed a house in this Armstrong County town.

The Pennsylvania Fire Marshal's Office confirmed the fatality, which occurred in a home in the 300 block of Logan Avenue.

The fire broke out around 9 a.m. Leechburg fire chief Tom Foster told Triblive there was heavy smoke in the rear of the home when firefighters arrived on the scene. Foster said it took about 45 minutes to bring the fire under control.
