WASHINGTON, PA — Officials say two people died Tuesday in a fire in the city of Washington.

The fire at a residence on East Katherine Avenue broke out just after 6 a.m. and was under control by 6:45 a.m. Crews remain on the scene, however.
The victims have not yet been identified.
