1 Stabbed, Another Injured In Altercation: Pittsburgh Authorities

Both were taken to the hospital and the incident is under investigation, according to authorities.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Two people were injured in connection with a stabbing overnight in the South Side Flats area of Pittsburgh, authorities said.

Officers were flagged down just after 3 a.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of East Carson Street for a reported altercation resulting in an assault, according to the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department.

A male, who suffered a hand injury, told police he stabbed another male in the right cheek in self-defense, and officers separated the pair, authorities said.
