2 Pittsburgh Restaurants Among Nation's 100 Best, New Ranking Says

PITTSBURGH, PA — Two Pittsburgh restaurants made the cut in Open Table's 2023 top American restaurants list. The list, released Wednesday, was culled from more than 12 million verified diner reviews and metrics such as dinner ratings, percentage of reservations made in advance and five-star reviews.
Among those making the Top 100 were a Whiskey and Ramen joint in Anchorage, Alaska, to a large pink tavern in Savannah, Georgia, and even an Eiffel Tower-themed eatery overlooking the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas.
The Pittsburgh restaurants making the list were Altius in Mt. Washington, and Gi-Jin on Sixth Street.

Regarding Altius, Open Table wrote, "As executive chef and partner of Altius, Jessica Bauer's approach to contemporary American cuisine is refined and modern with a respect for the integrity and quality of her ingredient driven menu.

Regarding Gi-Jin, Open Table wrote, "Gi-Jin is a gin and raw bar that re-imagines the sushi experience where they marry global ingredients with traditional Japanese flavors to createinspired combinations of color, technique and style."
