2 Pittsburgh Restaurants Ranked Among Nation's Most Scenic

PITTSBURGH, PA - Two Pittsburgh restaurants have been ranked among the most 100 scenic restaurants in the country, and unsurprisingly they both are located in the neighborhood offering the most spectacular views of the city: Mt. Washington.

Online restaurant reservation provider OpenTable named Altius and Monterey Bay Fish Grotto, located within two blocks of each other on Grandview Avenue, to the prestigious list. Eateries in 25 states and Washington, D.C. made the rankings.

“We know a memorable meal is as much about the ambiance as it is about the food,” Caroline Potter, OpenTable's chief dining officer, said in a statement. "This year’s list represents an immense variety of restaurants that not only offer an exceptional meal but also feature breathtaking views that enhance the experience for locals and travelers alike.”

Rated four diamond by AAA, Altius is next to the Duquesne Incline, a must-stop for tourists. The four-year-old restaurant is on the site of the former Georgetowne Inn.

Located atop an apartment building, Monterey Bay Fish Grotto offers stunning 360- degree views of the city skyline. It was named Pittsburgh Magazine’s best seafood restaurant in 2017.
