2 Women Charged In Teen's Fatal Shooting In Wilkinsburg

Police said 16-year-old Kevin Wilson was fatally shot on Easter Sunday while standing outside a home on Hill Avenue.

WILKINSBURG, PA — Two women are facing charges after authorities said they fatally shot a 16-year-old boy on Easter Sunday in Wilkinson.

Kira Jackson, 23, and Alicia Johnson, 23, both of Pittsburgh, were both charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and carrying a firearm without a license following the shooting outside a home on Hill Avenue, according to the Allegheny County Police Department.

Jackson was arrested Wednesday afternoon and Johnson turned herself in later that day, police said.

According to authorities, police responded to the 600 block of Hill Avenue shortly before 10:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call about a shooting. When police arrived, they found 16-year-old Kevin Wilson suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to a TribLive report, the shooting happened when a fight broke out among a group of people. A witness told police Wilson wasn't involved in the fight and was struck in the chest by a bullet while standing outside.

Wilson was taken to the hospital, where he later died, police said.

After reviewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses, authorities issued arrest warrants for Jackson and Johnson.
