2 Women Wounded In Pittsburgh-Area Shooting
Multiple shell casings were found at the scene of a shooting of two women in the Pittsburgh area on Thursday.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Wednesday evening turned violent in the Pittsburgh area, as two women were shot in Wilkinsburg.
Allegheny County police said they said county 911 was notified of a Shotspotter alert at 10:59 p.m. in the 1600 block of Laketon Road.
Police arrived and found numerous shell casings on the ground. The victims, two adult women, fled in their vehicle to the intersection of Allegheny River Boulevard and Nadine Road, where they were picked up by medics and taken to t
a local hospital.

One woman was struck in the leg and grazed in the wrist and the second female was grazed in the leg. Both are in stable condition.
While police were processing the original scene on Laketon Road, two vehicles approached them at a high rate of speed, with a passenger in the second vehicle shooting at the first one. Officers pursued the second vehicle but lost sight of it.

The victims in the first vehicle stopped at the intersection of Robinson Boulevard and Sunrise Avenue in Pittsburgh. Neither occupant, an adult man and a male juvenile, was injured.
