23 Dogs Discovered Chained Outside, Exposed To Elements In Pittsburgh Area

Nearly two dozen dogs were discovered in deplorable condition, according to the Beaver County Humane Society.

ALIQUIPPA, PA — Nearly two dozen dogs are recuperating after being rescued from a home during the height of Sunday's massive snowstorm.

According to the Beaver County Humane Society, the canines were found at a residence in Aliquippa. They were heavily chained and exposed to the elements - all without adequate access to food, water or shelter and in various stages of injury.

After the Humane Society police officer investigated the residence, society officials said that they had reasonable suspicion that the dogs were being used for illegal fighting activities.
