CRANBERRY, PA - The insurance industry might not seem like the most exciting field to enter. But if you’re looking for professional stability, an insurance job might be one to consider.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs in the insurance industry are expected to increase by 9 percent by 2024. The average overall growth rate is 7 percent.

Although insurance agents need to be licensed in the state in which they practice, a college degree usually isn’t necessary. The median salary in 2016 was $49,000.
