3 Die In Pittsburgh-Area Duplex Fire; Kids Among Victims

Three people perished in an early-morning Friday fire in the Pittsburgh area. Get the details below.

INDIANA COUNTY, PA — Three people died early Friday in a fire that occurred in a duplex in Clymer Borough.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, at approximately 4:14 a.m., the Clymer Volunteer Fire Company and several additional volunteer fire departments were dispatched to a residential structure fire along the 400 block of Hancock Street in Clymer. Both portions of the duplex were occupied at the time of the fire.

Two children and an adult, all of whom lived at the home, were found deceased inside. Two pet dogs also died in the blaze.

Members of the Pennsylvania State Police Troop A Fire Marshal Unit responded to the scene
and are investigating the fire's origin and cause. At this time, no foul play is suspected.
