3 Firefighters, 1 Other Injured In Massive Beaver County Fire

Emergency crews are tearing down parts of the burnt buildings, which include an antique store that was once the Blue Violet Cafe.

ROCHESTER, PA — Emergency crews are on scene of a large fire in Rochester Borough that injured three firefighters and another person, reports say. Rescue crews also saved a resident's two dogs.

All injured are expected to recover, reports said.

The fire broke out along Brighton Avenue around 2:30 Thursday morning, according to WTAE.

It began in an apartment and spread to an antique shop in the same building, that report said.

Many people on social media mourned the former Blue Violet Cafe that was in that location for many years, and still is advertised on the back of the building.

Beaver County Emergency Services said Brighton Avenue will be shut down "for an extended period" between Adams Street and New York Avenue.

The northbound ramps to Route 65 are also closed, per WTAE.

Emergency crews told reporters on scene they are tearing down parts of the burnt buildings.
