3 Pittsburgh Restaurants Ranked Among Nation's Most Romantic
Just in time for Valentine's Day, OpenTable has released its list of the most romantic eateries in the country. Three are in Pittsburgh.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Attempting to determine where to take you sweetheart for a Valentine's Day can be tricky. Should you dress up and go elegant? Should you go somewhere that is casual but still appropriate for the big day?
Puzzling questions for sure. But online reservation site OpenTable has provided the answers for you after launching its list of the 100 most romantic restaurants across the country. Three are from Pittsburgh.
To determine its list, OpenTable examined over 9 million reviews from the past year and used other metrics to determine which restaurants were the most appropriate to impress your Valentine's Day date.

In Pittsburgh, those restaurants are:
- Alla Famiglia, Allentown: This place has welcomed guests to its South Side Hilltop location for more than two decades. Family-owned and operated, the restaurant offers homemade Italian specialties, an award-winning wine list, and handcrafted cocktails. Patrons can dine under paddle fans and exposed brick in one of six uniquely decorated rooms. Alla Famiglia offers daily provisioned seafood, aged prime beef, tender veal, and house-made maccheroni as well as pastries made on site.
- Altius, Mt. Washington: The OpenTable Altius review summary stated that the restaurant offers "a remarkable dining experience with amazing views of Pittsburgh, exceptional service and delicious food. - Monterey Bay, Mt. Washington: An AI-generated review summary stated that "the restaurant offers spectacular views and is a top choice for celebrating special occasions.
