4 Wounded In Pittsburgh Neighborhood Shooting

The shooting occurred early Sunday, police said.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Police are investigating a shooting incident in Carrick Sunday that wounded four people.

Just after 4:30 a.m., police arrived at the 1800 block of Brownsville Road for reports of multiple shots fired. Arriving officers located two men with gunshot wounds.

One had multiple wounds to his chest, torso and trunk. He was taken to UPMC Mercy in critical condition and immediately went into surgery.

The other suffered a bullet would his torso. He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing, but police said that it appears the men were firing at each other.

Just after 6 a.m., detectives learned that two women arrived by private vehicle to two separate hospitals outside the city limits. They both reported with graze wounds.
