4-Year-Old Pittsburgh-Area Boy Drowns
The drowning occurred during a birthday party, police said.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 4-year-old boy died Sunday in Fayette County after apparently drowning in a pool.
Liam Vanderlee, of Eighty Four, was found unresponsive in the outdoor swimming pool while attending a birthday party. Police were called to the scene at around 2:30 p.m.
The child was taken to Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
