5 Wounded In Pittsburgh Soccer Field Stabbing Incident

PITTSBURGH, PA — Police are investigating after five people were wounded late Sunday in a stabbing incident that occurred on a soccer field at Schenley Park.
Two men suffering from stab wounds arrived at Magee Womens Hospital in Oakland shortly before 11 p.m. City EMS took one of them to a trauma center in serious but stable condition with a stab wound to the back. The other man was treated at the hospital for a superficial shoulder laceration.
Both victims told police through a Spanish interpreter that they were wounded on the soccer field.

A short time later, Duquesne Borough police advised Pittsburgh police that they had located three other victims with various injuries stemming from the same incident. All were taken to a Pittsburgh hospital with non-critical injuries; police have not indicated whether they were stabbed as well.
It's unclear what triggered the altercation that led to the violence.
