7-Month-Old Pittsburgh-Area Infant Dies From Fentanyl Poisoning
The infant girl was found unresponsive in a suburban Pittsburgh home early Tuesday.
PENN HILLS, PA — Allegheny County police are investigating the death of a 7-month-old girl who died from fentanyl poisoning.
The victim was identified as Zhuri Bogle.
Penn Hills police and paramedics were dispatched to a home in the 8100 block of Chaske Street shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday for an unresponsive infant. When they arrived, they found Zhuri's father performing CPR. First responders took over, but Zhuri was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:05 a.m.

Penn Hills police requested assistance from the Allegheny County police's homicide unit. Detectives learned that Zhuri was being cared for by her grandmother and her grandmother's friend Monday night. Zhuri had been put to bed when her parents returned home Monday night.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office announced that Zhuri died from acute fentanyl toxicity.
