Allegheny County Cornavirus Cases Dip Slightly
Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers from Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department reported no new coronavirus deaths on Thursday. The county death toll remains at 187.
After setting a single-day record on Thursday with 233 new cases reported, the number of new cases reported on Friday was 177. The nuber of new cases in the county during the outbreak now stands at 3,280, up from 3,103 on Thursday.
In the newest cases, ages range from one to 90 years with the median age being 28.

Four hundred and six people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. There were five new hospitalizations on Wednesday, county officials said.
With 711 confirmed cases in Westmoreland County, 688 in Beaver County, 319 in Butler County and 244 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 5,242. That's up from 4,997 on Thursday.

Acccordingto the state Department of Health, 323 people have died thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and eighty-seven in Allegheny County, 79 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 13 in Butler County and six in Washington County. One new death in Beaver County was reported.
