Allegheny County Coronavirus Cases Surge
Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department reported no new coronavirus deaths on Saturday. The county death toll remains at 186.
However, 90 new cases were reported, 29 more than the 61 reported on Friday. The number of cases during the outbreak in the county now stands at 2,472.
Of the 90 new cases, 77 percent are in the 19-to-49 age group, according to the health department.

Three hundred and eighty-one people people have been hospitalized in the county during
the outbreak. There were two new hospitalizations on Friday.
With 638 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 587 in Westmoreland County, 284 in Butler County and 187 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 4,168. That's up from 4,061 on Friday.

According to the state Department of Health, 321 people have died thus far in the five-county
region: One hundred and eighty-six in Allegheny County, 78 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 13 in Butler County and six in Washington County. The death toll is unchanged from Friday.
