Allegheny County Coronavirus Death Toll Jumps By Seven

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Friday reported seven new coronavirus deaths. The county death toll now stands at 325.

Two of the latest victims were in their 60s, three were in their 70s, one was in the 80s and on in the 90s. Four of the deaths were associated with long-term care facilities.

The county reported 63 new cases. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is 10128. There have been 962 hospitalizations in the county during the outbreak.

With 1,788 cases in Westmoreland County, 1,532 in Beaver County, 1,001 in Washington County and 760 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county region to 15,209 when Allegheny County numbers are included.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 513 deaths in the region from the virus: Three hundred and twenty-five in Allegheny County, 96 in Beaver County, 49 in Westmoreland County, 25 in Washington County and 17 in Butler County. Washington County reported one new death.
