Allegheny County Coronavirus Death Total Now Over 200

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Wednesday reported five new coronavirus deaths. The county death toll now stands at 204.

The county reported a 246 new cases, down from yesterday's one-day high of 331 new cases during the outbreak. Positive results are from tests that span June 30 through July 14. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is now 5,610.

In the newest cases, ages range from 2 months to 102 years old with the median age being 34.

Four hundred and seventy-eight people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak, an increase of of 0ne.

With 1,033 cases in Westmoreland County, 870 in Beaver County, 465 in Washington County and 444 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county region to 8,422 when Allegheny County numbers are included. That's up from 8,102 on Tuesday.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 341 deaths in the region from the virus: Two hundred and four in Allegheny County, 79 in Beaver County, 39 in Westmoreland County, 13 in Butler County and six in Washington County.
