Allegheny County Coronavirus Deaths, Cases Climb Again

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — There were five new coronavirus deaths reported in Allegheny County on Tuesday, the county health department announced. The county death toll climbed to 184.

For the second time in three days, 45 new cases were reported. The number of cases during the outbreak in the county now stands at 2,284.

Three hundred and seventy-two people people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. There were two new hospitalizations on Tuesday.

With 630 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 552 in Westmoreland County, 273 in Butler County and 171 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the
five-county southwestern Pennsylvania region to 3,910.

According to the state Department of Health, 319 people have died thus far in the
five-county region: One hundred and eighty-four in Allegheny County, 77 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 13 in Butler County and six in Washington County. One new death was reported Tuesday in Beaver County.
