Allegheny County Has Five New Coronavirus Deaths

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Friday reported five new
coronavirus deaths. The county death toll now stands at 349.

The county reported 92 new cases. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is 10, 641. There have been 1,000 hospitalizations in the county during the outbreak.

With 1,851 cases in Westmoreland County, 1,653 in Beaver County, 1,108 in Washington County and 821 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county region to 16,074 when Allegheny County numbers are included.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 544 deaths in the region from the virus: Three hundred and forty-nine in Allegheny County, 99 in Beaver County, 49 in Westmoreland County, 28 in Washington County and 19 in Butler County.
