Allegheny County Has New Coronavirus Death, Case Numbers Up Again
Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers in Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Friday reported one new coronavirus death. The county death toll now stands at 206.
The county reported a 240 new cases, 100 more than were reported on Thursday. Positive results are from tests that span June 29 through July 16. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is now 5,990.
In the newest cases, ages range from one month to 97 years old with the median age being 34.

Five hundred and seven people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak, an increase of of 17.
With 1,089 cases in Westmoreland County, 893 in Beaver County, 518 in Washington County and 456 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county region to 8,631 when Allegheny County numbers are included. That's up from 8,631 on Thursday.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 346 deaths in the region from the virus: Two hundred and six in Allegheny County, 80 in Beaver County, 40 in Westmoreland County, 13 in Butler County and seven in Washington County. Beaver, Westmoreland and Washington each reported one new death.
