Allegheny County Has Nine New Coronavirus Deaths

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Wednesday reported nine new
coronavirus deaths, ending a three-day streak of no reported fatalities. The county death toll now stands at 358.

The county reported 68 new cases. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is 10, 915. There have been 1,040 hospitalizations in the county during the outbreak.

With 1,907 cases in Westmoreland County, 1,714 in Beaver County, 1,150 in Washington County
and 880 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county region to 16,666 when Allegheny County numbers are included.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 556 deaths in the region from the virus: Three hundred and fiftty-eight in Allegheny County, 102 in Beaver County, 49 in Westmoreland County, 28 in Washington County and 19 in Butler County.
