Allegheny County: New Coronavirus Death, Triple-Digits New Cases
Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Saturday reported one new coronavirus death. The county death toll now stands at 222.
The death occurred on July 17. The age of the victim was 93.
The county reported 146 new cases out of 1,631 test results. Positive results are from tests that span July 7 through July 24. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is now 7,161, up from 7,015 on Friday.

In the newest cases, ages range from two to 98 years old with the median age being 41.
Five hundred and seventy-seven people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. Four new hospitalizations were reported.

With 1,252 cases in Westmoreland County, 1,084 in Beaver County, 637 in Washington County and 535 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county region to 10,669 when Allegheny County numbers are included. That's up from 10,434 on Friday.
According to the state Department of Health, there have been 370 deaths in the region from the virus: Two hundred and twenty-two in Allegheny County, 82 in Beaver County, 42 in Westmoreland County, 14 in Butler County and 10 in Washington County. Westmoreland reported one new death.
