Allegheny County Pools 2024: 1 Renovated, 1 Opening Delayed
Here's what to expect at Allegheny County pools and spray parks this summer.
ALLEGHENY CO., PA — The opening of the South Park wave pool will be delayed this summer, but the Boyce Park and Settlers Cabin wave pools and North Park swimming pool all will open for the season on June 1.
The South Park is undergoing repairs that include a new liner installation. An opening date will be released when the repairs are closer to completion, Allegheny County officials said Thursday.
The newly renovated North Park Baby Pool and Spray Park will also be open for the season on June 1. New features include shade units covering portions of the pool surface and adjacent to the pool, built-in seating, new water spray features, two water slides and a zero-depth entry.

A new filtration system, a filtration building, and a replacement of the baby pool were also added as part of the renovation. Additionally, artificial turf was added around the existing spray park pad. Admission to the baby pool spray park is included in the daily admission price for North Park swimming pool.
Daily hours of operation at the pools are 11:30 am - 7:30 pm, weather and conditions permitting. Concessions will also be open daily.
