Allegheny County Reports Another Coronavirus Death

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Thursday reported one new coronavirus death. The county death toll now stands at 205.

The county reported a 140 new cases. Positive results are from tests that span June 30 through July 14. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is now 5,750.

In the newest cases, ages range from 2 to 94 years old with the median age being 33.

Four hundred and ninety people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak, an increase of of 12.

With 1,057 cases in Westmoreland County, 884 in Beaver County, 494 in Washington County and 444 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county region to 8,631 when Allegheny County numbers are included. That's up from 8,422 on Wednesday.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 342 deaths in the region from the virus: Two hundred and five in Allegheny County, 79 in Beaver County, 39 in Westmoreland County, 13 in Butler County and six in Washington County.
