Allegheny County Reports New Coronavirus Deaths
Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Allegheny County's coronavirus death toll has increased from 152 to 165, the county health department announced Thursday. The 13 deaths that were added did not occur Wednesday, but happened between May 8 and May 25; 12 were linked to long-term care facilities.
The number of coronavirus cases in the county climbed to 1,965, up from 1,952 on Wednesday and 1,928 on Tuesday.
Three hundred and forty-seven people people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. That's up from 345 on Wednesday and 344 on Tuesday.

With 594 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 453 in Westmoreland County, 235 in Butler County and 140 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 3,387. That's up from 3,366 on Wednesday and 3,332 on Tuesday.
According to the state Department of Health, 295 people have died thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and sixty-five in Allegheny County, 74 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 12 in Butler County and six in Washington County.
