Allegheny County Reports Nine New Coronavirus Deaths

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Wednesday reported nine new
coronavirus deaths. The county death toll now stands at 343.

The county reported 68 new cases. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is 10, 444. There have been 985 hospitalizations in the county during the outbreak.

With 1,819 cases in Westmoreland County, 1,618 in Beaver County, 1,066 in Washington County
and 789 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county region to 15,736 when Allegheny County numbers are included.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 533 deaths in the region from the virus: Three hundred and forty-three in Allegheny County, 96 in Beaver County, 49 in Westmoreland County, 27 in Washington County and 18 in Butler County.
