Allegheny County Unveils New Voter Website
The website is designed to be a one-stop shop for elections-related information.
PITTSBURGH, PA - Allegheny County residents have a new resource for elections information. AlleghenyVotes.com details the new voting system, provides facts on voter outreach efforts and contains instructional videos. There also are links to information on voter registration, becoming a poll worker and links to the county’s elections website.
Public voting system demonstrations are being held in locations throughout the county, thanks to partnerships with the Allegheny County Library Association, the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, local shopping malls and other organizations. While demonstrations are still being finalized, the website contains a schedule that begins on March 15. As new locations and dates are confirmed, that information will be added to the website calendar.
Voters will begin hearing more about the new voting systems beginning on March 1 when an advertising campaign begins on local television stations, on billboards, in movie theaters, in print, and on transit. Radio and digital spots also are planned planned.
