Allegheny Health Network Temporarily Stops Scheduling Vaccines
A lack of available coronavirus vaccine prompted the move.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A lack of coronavirus vaccine has prompted the Allegheny Health Network to temporarily suspended its scheduling of vaccinations, the healthy system announced. The network said it has scheduled all of its available vaccine for distribution and has temporarily disabled its portal for making appointments.
"We anticipate receiving additional quantities of the vaccine in the near future," the network said in a news release.
The network said it will continue to prioritize high-risk individuals for vaccinations when doses become available, including patients who are 75 or older and the health care professionals who care for them.

"We understand the public's concern and frustration about the limited availability of the vaccine and appreciate everyone’s patience as we work hard to distribute the vaccine as quickly and efficiently as possible when we have it to those who need it most," the release stated.
