Alligator On The Loose Near Pittsburgh
The gator was seen wandering across a suburban Pittsburgh street Tuesday morning.

WEST MIFFLIN, PA — A small alligator was seen crossing a street here Tuesday morning, according to West Mifflin police. The gator's early-day stroll took him across New England Road.
Police said in a Facebook post that the creature was about three feet long, "didn't respond to any of the names we called it and we weren't able to check for a chip."
Anyone who spots the reptile today is asked to call police.

It's not uncommon for pet alligators to escape their owners and wander around their neighborhoods. In 2019, five gators were captured in or near Pittsburgh while getting their exercise.
